Essential Oils to Diffuse to Help You Breathe

Essential Oils to Diffuse to Help You Breathe

When we are not feeling our best it is sometimes hard to breathe. This could be from being sick with allergies, the cold or flu, or any other ailments. There are also those times it is hard to breathe because you are going through something stressful and emotional. Here are a few essential oils to diffuse to help you breathe, no matter the reason.

Essential Oils to Diffuse to Help You Breathe

Eucalyptus

For those days when the reason you can’t breathe is because you are physically sick, you want Eucalyptus Essential Oil by your side. Eucalyptus is the main ingredient in many over-the-counter rubs and medicines. It is safe to diffuse 3-5 drops in a humidifier by the bed. This will help clear the lungs, loosen up any congestion, and help to regulate normal breathing.

Tea Tree Oil

If you are sick from a bacteria-based illness, diffuse Tea Tree Oil. It is a natural antibacterial agent and can kill airborne bacteria. Add just a couple drops to the diffuser and let the Tea Tree Oil magic happen over the next hour.

Peace & Calming

When the emotional parts of the day become overwhelming, it can adversely affect your breathing. Stress, coupled with shallow breathing makes it hard to think clearly and rationally. To create a more positive atmosphere, and bring more peace to a room, diffuse 5-7 drops of Peace & Calming Essential Oil blend.

Allow your breath to come under control by breathing deeply in the essential oils that make up Peace & Calming. Take for instance both Tangerine and Orange are known to uplift the spirits, clean bad energy out of a room, and calm the breathe down when it is erratic. Ylang Ylang, Patchouli, and Blue Tansy have a peaceful, grounding affect on the soul. All of these essential oils work amazingly well together to create Peace & Calming.

Wintergreen Essential Oil

The mint family helps you to breathe better when you are both physically sick and emotionally tapped out. Diffuse 5 drops of Wintergreen in the morning. It will helps to center you, keep your breathing pattern regular, and lift your spirits. A drop or two can be added to the humidifier as well as it is also a antibacterial agent.
