Expired Peelies on Packages…

August 25, 2008 by Briana Carter

What do you do when you find a really awesome expired peelie on a package? Recently, I found a Buy 2 Rice Krispy and get (1) Free Strawberry Rice Krispy…I was so excited! Especially because Meijer has the buy $10 worth of Kelloggs & Get $10 off a backpack and the Kellogg’s rebate. I peeled it off and it expired 6/30/2008. Excitement gone. I didn’t want to risk it at the cash register.

What do you do when you find expired peelies? Has it happened at the cash register? How is it handled? Annoying, that is for sure! I’m considering writing Kellogg’s AND Meijer!!!

Mama Moose – That stinks! I hate when that happens. I get all excited, oh I found a coupon, only to be deflated seconds later!

Leslie – I’m glad they honored it! :) I was too nervous to try it especially because I was going to do the backpack deal too and didn’t want to screw it up!

I haven’t seen expired peelies, but as for the coupons IN the packages themselves, I’ve seen soo many expired coupons since I started couponing! I bought 4 Betty Crocker Mini Delights all with $.75 off one coupons on the inside and all expired. I bought some Huggies Sun Sensors with tons of coupons inside just the other day and all those coupons expired in 2007!

I found one at CVS one time. I didn’t expect they would honor it, but I went ahead and asked, and they did, because they could tell it came from the package.
