It’s approaching summer and summer means lots of barbecues, pool time, and just plain fun with friends! Oftentimes, we have impromptu pitch in gatherings with friends. We had one of these a couple of weeks back!

We always have plenty of food when everyone brings stuff and this alleviates the pressure on the host to cook everything. Things we always like to pick up at the last minute that we know the kids – there are quite a few of them – will love is Frito Lay products! So when Frito-Lay asked if they could send some of their newest products including  over to us to try out, I was all in!

You can sample these items for yourself today (5/17) from 4 – 8 p.m. (local time) at participating Kroger or Kroger affiliated store location. You can score FREE samples of the new Doritos Loco Taco, Cheetos Mix-ups, and Pepsi Next at the event! Find the store nearest you.

IMG_6082Our guests love the Doritos Loco Tacos and the Cheetos Mix-Ups had a great crunch to them! The kids weren’t big fans of the Cheezy Salsa Mix-ups as they were a little too spicy for their taste and some of the puffs are green, which is a turn off for them. I thought they were great, though. All three bags of chips and the Pepsi Next were gone in no time at all! It was a perfect pairing to our hamburgers & brats!

  6. I personally like Kroger because I find great deals on sale items and pair them with double coupons, most of the time getting items super cheap or even free!

  46. I can’t just pick one store, I shop for deals mostly at Meijer, but then visit Kroger and Giant Eagle, too.

  52. To be honest, my fave grocery is the closest that has what I want at a reasonable price. I have 3 stores and they are 1, 5 and 7 miles from the house. Of course the one 1 mile away has the higher prices, and the more complicated deals.

  96. I love to shop at Safeway because they have great deals and you can load coupons onto your rewards card

  114. I like Schnucks. They have triple coupons frequenty and with items on sale I can get great deals.
