NOW CLOSED: Giveaway: Nike + IPOD Sports Kit Ends 1/20/2009

January 5, 2009 by Briana Carter

I’m giving away a Nike + iPod Sport Kit to one lucky reader. This is a great tool to help you on your 2009 Fitness Goals. You can read my complete review, Nike + iPod Sports Kit: You might become addicted to exercising! This is a product I’ve been using for months and love.

Since, I’m a dorky numbers person, I love how it keeps track of your total minutes, mileage, and average pace. It is a big motivator to keep exercising – especially to try to beat your personal best. I have become so addicted to my stats that I don’t want to exercise if I can’t use my Nike + IPOD system.

I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to track their performance to keep themselves motivated. I will be honest, I haven’t done much exercising the past two months because of the weather but I plan on getting back on track this January with an indoor setting. My 2009 Fitness Goals, include exercising 3-4x a week for at least 30 minutes, which will help me achieve my additional 20 lb weight loss goal.

How to Win?

Note: This giveaway is for Nike + iPod Sport Kit ONLY. (iPOD, Shoes, accessories are not included.)

Now I’m trying to add in more cardio and trying to make sure to drink enough water. I would like to be able to run a 5K this summer. (I did not say I would necessarily like to RUN the 5K – I’d just like to be ABLE to do so!)

I must admit as the weather has grown a little colder and snowier, that I haven’t exactly kept to my 2009 plan. But, I know that I will get fed up with the non-activity, and eventually get back to the plan. I keep track of my blood pressure/and heart rate on practically a six hour check-in round the clock. I know that my heart rate has been better, and that is usually my guide to a better exercise plan. Thanks for this giveaway.

I am very passionate about staying fit and sticking to my fitness regime. My 2009 fitness goal is to continue with what I already do but just kick everything up several notches and take all that I do to the next level. If you stick with the same old routine then after a while your body is no longer challenged and eventually you won’t continue to see the results that you want to achieve. So you have to continually challenge yourself and mix things up so your body will continue to evolve and change in the positive manner with which you want it to. I run 4-5 days a week, I practice Yoga almost everyday, and I work the nautalis at a local gym. I have to admit there are days that I am unmotivated, and my body does not want to cooperate with what my mind is telling me to do, and it takes every bit of strength and willpower I have within me to force myself to go. But, most days I want to go because afterwards I know how good I will feel both mentally and physically! Thank you for the opportunity to enter.

  121. Andrej says

I’m regularly finding myself walking back and forth to class (1.5 miles), but I have to do so in just the right way so that I can balance the working quality and longevity of my car battery. Of course, we’re not afraid of the cold here in northern New England, so I’ve already been walking 30 minutes a day every couple of days when it’s only 5 degrees out. In the summer, I’d be doing more walking, especially since there are more joggers around, and a few of them say “Hi” to me when they’re not playing volleyball or soccer. The sports kit would be nice in helping me get their attention, and maybe a phone number or two jotted down on the back of my hand, and who knows, maybe I’ll be invited to one of their playoff games on campus.

I have lost a great deal l of weight,. I once weighed 315 and now weigh about 200 . It was all diet and exercise, but I need motivation to keep it up. After losing the weight and getting into shape I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Now my metabolism is strictly medicine driven. So I have to work extra hard to lose even a few lbs and I need to do weight bearing exercise, including walking and or jogging so that I can keep my bones strong too. I had also parathyroid cancer, these are small glands that regulate body calcium. It isn’t easy being 43 and having the spine of a 60 year old woman. I need this!

I would love to lose some weight in the process (aiming for 10 lbs), but really I am aiming for the accomplishment and goal of being able to complete the Disney half marathon in January 2010 and then further down the road in October 2010 a full marathon.

My fitness goal is a running program this year. I’m an avid walker and do light weights, but this year, I want to run. I’ve started by doing a 5 minute walk, then a one minute jog, then back to walking and so forth. Two weeks later, and I can ‘t seem to up it to a two-minute run and a 4 minute walk segment. But I’m determined to keep trying. The goal by the end of 2009 is to run one mile without stopping. Would love to win this iPod sport kit to help in my workouts.

I don’t have an IPOD, but my daughter does and so I will have to steal it for this. I love that it tracks everything. I have been exercising, but now I need to up my performance and this would definitely work.

Luckily, I have a very active husband. So after our son is born (late january), I’m hoping to get back on track with running and spinning. The hubs has promised to help me out, and I expect we’ll need a jogging stroller. Getting back to my pre-baby weight would be nice, but it’s more about getting back my fitness (muscle tone, energy, etc). My husband has this nike ipod system, and it’s great! I’d love to have one too, thanks for a great giveaway.

I absolutely LOVE stats! I wore a heart monitor strap to make sure I was in the fat burning zone every time I worked out! I had twins in July and have started weight watcher… now I’m ready to add burning off some of that extra weight! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE this !!!

Fitness goals for the new year,
I plan on keeping off all of the weight I have lost. Eat healthy and exercise atleast 4 days a week! I have lost almost 100 pounds and reached my goal on December 4th!
I love your website, and I commented on your review.

My fitness goal for 2009 — I hope to excercise more (ride bike, walk, eliptical machine) and cut back on the amount of soda pop I drink. I need to lose about 50 pounds, but right now my goal is 15 by July. If I succeed at that, then I will raise my goal to 20…and so on. I hope to eat more fresh vegetables and less red meat. I have no weight based medical condition, but was ‘diagnosed’ with precancerous, premalignant cells on my cervix in October. I’ve had the biopsy and then the LEEP, but waiting on results from that. I take no medication that would hinder an excercise regimen and am looking forward to losing some weight – I’m sure hubby would like it too!
