Watermelon Smoothie Recipe

Watermelons are very low in saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium with a good source of potassium, vitamin A, and vitamin C.  They are mostly made of up water but pack a delicious flavor with very low calories. This makes it an excellent albeit unique choice for a smoothie.

All you need is 2 cups seedless watermelon and 1/3 cup yogurt. You can use any yogurt you prefer or in my case whatever you have in your refrigerator. I used ALDI Friendly Farms Vanilla Yogurt for our delicious treat. If you want to add a little minty kick, add a couple tablespoons of fresh mint.

This is a unique smoothie that is a nice change of pace once in awhile but I don’t see it being a daily smoothie for me!

Thanks for the tip. Watching you now on the National Coupon webcast. I have a bit of frozen watermelon in the freezer and have used it combined with other fruits but not yogurt. I also shop at Aldi.
