NOW CLOSED: Win It: Green Giveaway Finish Quantum & Jet Dry Ends 5/1

April 23, 2009 by Briana Carter

finish-pack-shot-lo-res

I’ve used Finish (formerly known as Electrasol) products for many years because I can always get a good deal on these products and they work well. Finish has a new line called Finish Quantum, which delivers on “Leaving Nothing Behind But the Shine.”

The first thing I love about these dishwashing powerballs is there is no plastic wrapper to take off. Have you ever tried to open those things with slightly wet hands?  I end up using my teeth and then have a yucky cleaning taste in my mouth! Last time I purchased dishwashing tablets I accidentially bought those kind.

Besides being wrapper free, they are have a multi chamber system:

  • Powerball with Jet Dry Gel for SHINE
  • Powermax Bleach removes stains like tea and coffee
  • Powerful Enzymes soften burtn on food like lasagna

You may be scratching your head wondering why I’m calling this a green giveaway. You can save on energy by getting your dishes clean the FIRST time. If dishes come out dirty, you are going to have to rewash either by hand or in the dishwasher. Either way, you are using extra energy. So save time and energy by using a product that works the first time around.

jd_turboThe other new product from Finish is Jet Dry Turbo Dry. Do you get annoyed because your dishes come out wet even when the cycle is complete? I didn’t even know they had a product that would help. But they do.  Just use the drying agent in your dishwasher’s rince aid dispenser and you can get that dishwasher unloaded faster and more efficiently!

Hope you picked up a Sunday Paper on 4/19/2009. There was a $2.50 off Finish in the Smart Source Insert. Many stores run $3 or less sale (like Meijer has this week) which make this a stock up deal!

Want to try it? I have (2) Prize Packages for (2) Lucky Readers. Each winner will receive a 12 ct. Finish and a bottle of Jet-Dry Turbo Dry.

I would really like to win these, I am not sure if it is our water or just our dishwasher (only has a spinny thing on the bottom), but it seems like nothing in our dishwasher gets really clean. We’ve even stopped using our tall glasses because they are gross when they come out. It is so frustrating. The only thing that even works SOME is Cascade Complete–which is so expensive. Blegh.

I bought a dishwasher that I thought be be great as advertised.
Well I love to wash my pans in dishwasher to remove the grease and food particles, since I’m trying not to sink rinse before loading dishwasher. The problem is pans are to tall so have a hard time loading so that the one part will still be able to spin. So I have learned what to look for next time I get to purchase a new dishwasher.

    Thank you so much

My biggest dish washing frustration is not being able to get dried food off plates. It is so frustrating to try to remove dried food at times and drives me crazy. The only tip I really have is if you want your dishes to be as clean as possible to wash them in the sink prior to washing them in the dishwasher. This is a great giveaway and I really hope I win. Thanks.

My Frustration? So i come home one day to find what I thought was steam erupting from my Dishwasher. I was happy my roommates tried to help with dishes. I started to smell something odd. I opened the Dishwasher to find every plastic spatula and long spoon resting, and MELTING, against the heating element at the bottom. Upon pulling the lil cart out to stop the horror, I found a tray of the most vile things that have had to have been there for “God only knows how long.”

My tip? Soak in extremely hot water for an entire night. Sometimes putting of f dishes till morning is actually a good thing!

My biggest dishwasher frustration is film left of my baby’s bottles and food always left on utensils. I have a dishwasher that states in the manual you do not have to rinse food at all, which is part of its energy star raiting and water saving, but there is ALWAYS food left on if I don’t rinse things almost clean!

My Biggest dishwashing tip these days is an ECO friendly one!
LEARN how to load that dishwasher so you can get the MOST dishes in and ONLY run a FULL LOAD!
I tell my kids the dishwasher I S NOT A GARBAGE DISPOSAL.
Scrape off the major junk and I DO rinse off the major junk. I guess I’m old school!

We have the world’s worst dishwasher and it takes double soap to get our dishes marginally clean – I want to see if these work better! Thanks!

My biggest dishwasher frustration was the time my husband used the liquid soap (meant for the sink dishes) in the dishwasher. Did he learn from his mistake? No, he has done this twice! Bubbles all over the kitchen!

Just a note for Stephanie above…my diswasher was also washing without the soap dispenser opeing and Lowe’s told me it is beause the larger cooking spoons and such were too tall in the silverware dispenser on the door, keeping it form opening when the dishwasher is shut. Just a thought.

I hate when both the plastic tubberware always comes out still wet, and when your sippy cup lids drop down to the bottom of the diswasher and get melted by the heated drying element! UHHH!

My bigggest frustration is when I open the door after the cycle is over and the door holding my electrosal tab is still closed. It never opened to release the soap so I just ran a whole cylce without the soap. It doesn’t happen every time but I hate that! I have no idea why it happens either.

My biggest frustration with my dishwasher lately are when the cycle is done I open up the door and notice several of the dishes have a film of soap left on them. Does not always happen just on occassion. Then I have to re-run those items through in the next load….Bummer!!

I don’t have any dish washing tips but I do have a frustration that maybe these can solve my problems. Whenever I do not clean off every dish (literally, wipe off ANY food particles, which is like washing my dishes twice) tiny food particles get stuck to my glasses (or anything made of glass) on the top shelf. It is so frustrating. It’s completely hit or miss and I end up having to rewash them and sometimes even after the second time it’s still there so I have to waste more washing them by hand. I really would prefer not to have to wash every glass item I own (like half of my items!) by hand. I really do need a green makeover!!
