NOW CLOSED: Win It: Willow by Julia Hoban Ends 4/17

April 3, 2009 by Briana Carter

Since I’ve started blogging, I haven’t had much time for another one of my hobbies – reading. While, Willow is not a book I would have found on my own since it is targeted for young adults, I’m glad it was put in front of me. Once I started reading it, I could.not.put.it.down. It was a quick read for me but not an unemotional one. You can read my full review of Willow over at the Buzz…by Bargain Briana.

I know some of you are asking yourself when does she have TIME to read! I’m a FAST reader and I work my reading in while I’m drying my hair, waiting at the bank, etc. This book in particular, I stayed up late on Sunday night to finish since I couldn’t put it down!

How to Win?

Easy Entry: Tell me when you fit reading time in!

Bonus entries (Up to 4 additional entries):

  • Comment on my full review: Book Review: Willow by Julia Hoban

  • Subscribe to my free newsletter via email or RSS. (You don’t want to miss out on any deals/giveaways!!!)
  • Digg, Technorati, Twitter, Stumble, etc. If you twitter, be sure to include me (@bargainbriana) in the twitter so it see it.

Leave a separate comment for each extra entry. It is very important that you leave a separate comment for each additional extra entry.

Ends around 4/17 at 11:59 EST. (As long as you can still comment you can enter!) Winner, chosen by random.org, will be announced on the Giveaway Winners Page by 04/18/09 and I will contact you shortly. (If winner doesn’t respond to my email within 48 hours, I will pick another winner.)

I have recently made more time for reading by spending less time online. I also read in bed at night and any free time. Most of my reading is done by audiobook – I listen in the car, in bed, doing housework, working out…you name it! I am a high school counselor and LOVE young adult books about emotional issues – often I can loan them to students for bibliotherapy.

I usually try to get some reading in when everyone is already in bed, or before I start getting ready in the morning. Something new i have started doing is checking out audiobooks at the library and listening to them in the car I get to listen to the books everyone is talking about when I can’t actually sit down and read the book.

I fit in my reading time when I take my son to a park, and he is off on his own with pals. Also, I read just before bed. When my son is at school, I don’t read, I do all my emails, coupons, shopping and get organised.

I love to read. LOVE IT! I don’t get much time either. But I read in waiting rooms, while the car is warming up and on the potty. My boys would rather play with mommy than watch her read but they like books too. (building with them, stacking for a post to stuff they aren’t supposed to get too but hey, they are 1 and 2.)

I read at almost any opportunity that I can get. Usually first thing in the morning, or at least after I have been on the computer checking out e-mails and book reviews and also in the evening after dinner. I am not much of a television watcher, would rather pick up a book and sit in my little sun room curled up in my chair and read. Also when I can’t sleep late at night, I will get up and read for awhile, that usually relaxes me enough to go back to sleep.

I fit in reading at home. Outside, I make the most of my time to socialise and go out so that I have a balanced lifestyle. At home, I curl up anywhere, but preferably my room, to get in a few book-hours. One slightly disturbing tradition at my house is to read when we’re eating dinner. When the choices are TV or books, it’s not really that hard. :)

I get out of work at 2pm, grab an iced coffee and drive to his school. I get there by 2:45 or so, and he gets out at 3:15. This usually gives me at least a half hour daily.

LOVE TO READ – but definitely not enough time in my life :) I, like you, read while I’m drying my hair, but also while at the gym, while waiting to pick my daughter up from school and as I lay down to go to bed. If in love with a book, (ie, the Twilight series) I also read as I am eating lunch, cooking dinner and waiting at red lights.

Reading? You mean books with no pictures?! Late at night, after the kids are asleep!

When my husband comes home from work he’ll usually give me an hour or tow to read. I also read when my son goes down for the night. Thanks for the chance.

I usually read before I go to bed at night and early in the morning. My day-time reading time is devoted to school books with the kids.

I am an avid reader of just about anything…I sneek peaks at books while cooking, stopped at redlights, while letting the kiddos play outside, using the potty…I could go on and on…I read very quickly also, I recently got wrapped UP in reading all the Twilight books (they were AWESOME-great love story) and I have to confess I am not sure what my kids were doing during some of those few days it took me to read all 4 books!

I read all the time. I read while waiting places, but I also read versus watching TV a lot. I can also read while on the treadmill/elliptical machine.

I love to read, but finding time is a challenge! I find time to read early in the morning when everyone else is still asleep. I grab a cup of something open the windows as the sun rises! Very relaxing!

I always bring a book to the gym and read while working out. I sometimes look like an idiot b/c I talk back to my books, but its a great time to be in one place without interuptions.
