With the big game approaching, many of us are already making plans for entertaining. Hosting a creative party that is also colorful doesn’t have to break the bank. There are many ways you can add something extra to your party including incorporating Skittles® candy from your local Dollar General store, which will make a big splash in flavor and color.
Skittles® candy has always been one of my favorite non-chocolate candies. Juicy and full of flavor, I usually eat several different candies at once even though each individual color has it’s own distinct flavor. Did you eat by the handful or do you have a favorite flavor?
If you’ve never had a Skittles® Candy Crispy Rice Treat, you don’t know what you’re missing out on! You get all the delicious flavor of a traditional Crispy Rice treat along with the juicy flavor of your favorite fruity Skittles® candy. To test these treats before the big game, I prepared a pan for the kids to enjoy after school. The kids gave these treats rave reviews.
On top of the delicious flavor and fun way to incorporate some color into your festivities, these Crispy Rice treats are super easy to make. The hardest part is cleaning the pan that is used to stir the cereal and marshmallows. You only need a few basic ingredients including Crispy Rice cereal, marshmallows, butter, and of course, Skittles® candy.

Those are really cute! I’m addicted to Tropical Skittles, but they’re hard to find. I buy bunches when I find them.

My youngest loves rice krispies treats, they’ve always been one of his favorites. We’ve never tried them with Skittles in them. We found if we waited at all to clean the pot then the marshmallows were difficult to get off, now I don’t let it sit for a second before taking it to the sink.
