Beat My Price: A New Online Price Comparison Site

March 9, 2009 by Briana Carter

beatmypriceShopping online? Want to make sure you get the lowest price? Check out Beat My Price. It is the people powered price comparision. I’ve played around with it and seems to be the most user-friendly price comparison site out there.

Each search helps the site grow so the more of us that use it, the more we can all save!

Here’s how it works

  1. Find the best price you can online
  2. Visit beatmyprice.com
  3. Enter the details
  4. See if someone has found it cheaper elsewhere
  5. Save! (otherwise your price becomes the one to beat)

As always if you are shopping online, make sure to shop through EBATES as you will receive % back! If you don’t know about EBATES, you can read my previous post about this cash back site HERE. (Note: Currently EBATES is having a $5 bonus just for signing up and making your first purchase with them!)

Thanks, I have started doing most of my shopping on line now because of the ease of it plus with the rebate programs it turns out cheaper. Thanks for letting us know about this site.

    Hi Briana!
I’m glad you posted this. I’ve been meaning to do it on BC but have been procrastinating.

For a few months Beat My Price has been the price comp site I go to when I need one, mostly because I’m a sucker for a nice-looking site. I love how the search box is big and easy to find. I basically use it the same way I would use Shopzilla, etc (without putting in a url or price to beat). I should probably do that more often!

The drawbacks as I see them are that you can’t do an advanced search (to rule out those pesky UK listings, ebay listings, or prices from less-than-reputable sites) and that the deals can be out of date.
