{Now Closed} Crayola Color Wonder Summer Imagination Giveaway

July 26, 2010 By: Briana Carter253 Comments

Anyone who has a child has had a wall or something written, colored, or marked on by a child. One of our little ones took a red sharpie to his sister’s room a couple of years back. Then tried to claim he didn’t do it but he was practicing his own name. Apparently, she made him write his own name on her wall!

Good one.

If this has ever happened to you, then you will LOVE Crayola Color Wonder products. No worries as these special products only work on the special paper.  This makes these products perfect for travel as well.

I would probably never let my kids use regular finger paints at home. I would certainly never allow them to play it in the car. It just sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. My kids can express their creativity now with the Crayola Color Wonder.

Here’s a few examples of these cool products:

  • Crayola Color Wonder Lap Desk: Hard surface for kids to create on the go. Includes a storage unit for Color Wonder markers and paper. Includes mini markers in red, orange, yellow, green, and blue along with 12 re-stickable pieces of Color Wonder paper to keep the paper on the lap desk.
  • Crayola Color Wonder Fingerpaints & Paper: Fingerpainting in the car? Oh, yes you can! Includes 5 mess-free colors (red, yellow, green, blue, and orange) in a hand-shaped storage container, built in finger cleaning sponge, and 12 extra wide sheets of Color Wonder paper.
  • Crayola Color Wonder Markers and Paper: 24 Page Color Wonder drawing pad and 5 Color Wonder markers
  • Crayola Color Wonder Story Stampers: A fun Color Wonder stamp pad, 6 sea creature stamples, 5 Color Wonder Markers, and a 18 page coloring pad.
  • Crayola Color Wonder Stow & Go Studio: Compact drawing surface with clips to secure a piece of paper or a Color Wonder activity book. Includes Color Wonder markers.

You will also want to print out this $1/1 coupon for your next Crayola Color Wonder purchase.

My kids had a blast playing with all the new products.

What hasn’t my son written/colored on? My oldest never did the coloring on walls thing but my middle child has colored on at least one wall in every room, the inside of our van, two carpets, the hallway wall in a hotel, and himself more times than I can count. I’m thankful for washable markers and Magic Erasers.

My oldest son was doing a project for school and left much of his work on the kitchen table with permanent marker, it bled through. Six years later and no sign of project left….my four year old has left red smiley faces on the same table with a permanent marker (also a bleed through).

My two year old son has a very nasty habit of drawing on the walls. Its like he can’t resist whenever he finds a crayon, marker, pen, pencil he just has to write. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to wash down the walls and scrub real hard to get rid of it. We live in an apartment so if I don’t get them off then we have to pay! One time he drew a beautiful perfectly flourished M on the wall.

My 4 year old woke up in the middle of the night and drew all over her face in green marker. I didn’t realize it until the next morning as I was getting her up for school. I was thankful she found the washable marker.

My son drew on our built in desk with a green sharpie!

That’s how we figured out that whitening toothpaste takes permanent marker off of any sealed surface.

My 2yr old grandaughter ( I have custody of my 2…. 2 and 4!!!) wrote all over the top of Mom/s brand new Chrysler LHS’s ceiling in the back seat with a lovely black marker she found on the back seat… (thankfully Mom’s fault)!!!! I was mortified! Not a good day at all! This would be a godsend for us on road trips!

My daughter wrote her name and drew some pictures on the inside of the kitchen drawer with a magic. marker. I guess it could have been worse.
My sister had a dalmation and her kids played dot-to-dot on the dog with a purple magic marker. That took quite a while to get off the dog.

We were asked to go on vacation with friends who had rented a lovely vacation home in Destin, FL. They knew we were tight on money and graciously offered to let our family stay with them for free. We’d only have to pay for our own expenses while there. The first hour we were there, my son wrote on the white vacation home walls in green crayon!!!! I was so humilated and felt awful about it. Fortunately, Magic Eraser saved the day but talk about unfortunate timing! He had never in his life colored on our walls but unfortunately chose that time to make his artistic debut.

I used everything from soap and water to nail polish remover and that stuff would not completely come off. She was a light shade of black/green for a week. It looked like we beat her…it was so embarrassing to take her out in public! Thanks for the chance!

My daughter was sent to her room one evening as a punishment, and when I went up to talk to her and let her know she could come out – I saw that she had written with a large, black permanent marker on her carpet. She wrote “I hate mom” right in the doorway of her room. We went to Walmart that evening, with her birthday money in hand, to buy carpet cleaner. Thankfully it came out.

My Child Wrote on his legs with a yellow highlighter. He went to grandma’s house for the week and despite my discussion with her on using washable markers, he still came home with streaks down his legs. And she didn’t bring it up either when she dropped him off….I think she was trying to hide it!
