DIY Gold Painted Seashells Craft - Easy

Over the past year, I’ve come to love shelling. This means I have so many shells. While they are beautiful on their own, these painted gold seashell craft is a fun way to display your prized shells.
Here’s what you will need:

  • Assorted seashells
  • Painters tape
  • Fine Paintbrush
  • Gold paint
  • Mod podge, optional

Directions:

Remove any dirt or debris from the surface of the seashells and then tape off a section using the painters tape.

DIY Gold Painted Seashells Craft Step 1

Paint a thin layer of paint, going in the direction of the seashell’s grooves to avoid getting clumps of paint. Let dry completely before applying a second coat of paint for a brighter effect.

DIY Gold Painted Seashells Craft Step 2

Allow to dry fully before removing the tape.

Painted Shell

If desired, add a coat of modge podge to the surface of the entire seashell.
