7 Items That You Simply Must Have Around the House for Christmas

Christmas rolls around every year and there are certain things that just go hand in hand with Christmas. Check out this list of 7 things you really must have around your house for Christmas. Then make sure you have everything on hand!

Christmas CDs

The sounds of Christmas must fill the air at Christmastime. Whether you have one CD of Christmas music or a dozen, you must have some sounds of the season. Shop Christmas Music.

Hot Chocolate

Chilly, winter nights call for a hot, chocolaty beverage. Hot chocolate needs to be a staple in your home during the Christmas season. Don’t forget the marshmallows! {Make your own Hot Chocolate Mix}

Red Ribbon

Red ribbon comes in handy for a long list of Christmas projects. Whether you are making decorations, adding finishing touches to gifts, or just adding spots of Christmas color here and there, red ribbon is a must.

Christmas Movies

There are so many Christmas movies out there to watch that you can literally watch a different movie (or three) every single day in December. Create your own collection and add to it every year. Check out the ABC Family’s Christmas Movie List.

Christmas Socks

You need at least one pair of funky Christmas socks to celebrate the season with. In fact, the more the merrier! Crazy, cozy, warm, and fuzzy Christmas socks will keep your toesies toasty and your spirit bright. Celebrate the holiday with your best foot forward — literally!

Christmas Cookies

Christmas cookies add flavor to any holiday celebration. Whether you bake batches yourself from scratch or you rely upon a package of pre-formed cookies to plop onto the cookie sheet, baking up a few tasty treats for yourself, your family, or guests is just part of the fun of celebrating Christmas. Make sure you have plenty of ingredients for your favorite recipes on hand or visit your grocery store to stock up on ready-to-bake cookies.

Scented Candles

The scents of the season are a must at any home during the Christmas holiday. Invest in a few delicious smelling candles that will fill the air with delight. Pick your personal favorites or mix and match. Pick out an apple cider scented candle, an apple cinnamon spice candle, a gingerbread scented variety. or Christmas tree scent.

Candy Canes

Even if you’re not a big fan of peppermint, you can’t deny that candy canes are a traditional part of a Christmas celebration. Keep a box or two of candy canes on hand to decorate the tree and offer a tasty treat to visitors. Put a few candy canes in a decorative mug and set them on the kitchen table to be grabbed and enjoyed.

If you have these things around the house, then you are sure to be ready to start your Christmas celebration!
