In large cities, some restaurants will participate in “food weeks” during which diners can taste their fare at a reduced price. Do some research to find the exact dates for such deals and plan your schedule accordingly.

Get a group of foodie friends together to visit restaurants you want to try. There are some great tips here, but I have to disagree with the tip about eating out in a group or at least want to add a bit of advice to this tip. Be cautious as to the amount of people in your party and whether or not the restaurant you choose to dine at has a mandatory tip policy. They may add extra fees to your bill that you may not be aware of just because you dined in a group. It could cost you more if you forget and tip twice unknowingly or have the higher tip taken out than you had intended to give just because your party was over a certain size.
