Homemade Bug Repellent

Ditch the chemical bug spray formulas! It is so easy to make your own homemade bug repellent that is natural and safe for your family. Even better, this recipe actually works to repel bugs! This DIY Bug spray also smells great, which means your kids will actually want to put this on when playing outside.

All you will need is a plastic spray bottle, distilled water, Epsom salts, and a couple of my favorite essential oils – Purification and Peppermint Essential Oils. These are two of the oils included in a Young Living Starter Kit.

DIY Bug Spray for Summer

Once you make this easy DIY bug repellent spray, you will probably want to make a few for different areas around the house. I like to keep one in my car for when we are out and about and need repellent.

I’m pretty allergic to bug bites. I’m talking major swelling, scaring, and having to take Benadryl to function, allergic. I haven’t found a bug repellent that works well yet. I need to try this one! Thanks for sharing it. :)
