Floating Tree Holiday Ornament {DIY Christmas Ornament}

Easy Christmas Ornament to Make With Kids - Floating Tree Holiday Ornament

It is not too late to do a little holiday crafting! You can make your own floating tree holiday ornament like the one you see here in just minutes. The finished product is perfect for decorating your own tree with, or for giving as a gift. Take a look below at how to craft your own. This is a beautiful holiday craft that is too simple to pass up!

Supplies needed:

  • Large clear ornament ($1.99 each at most craft stores)
  • White craft glitter
  • Small bottle brush tree
  • Hot glue, glue gun
  • Ribbon for hanging

Floating Tree Ornament Supplies Needed

Directions:

1. Add a generous amount of hot glue to the underneath of your bottle brush tree. Carefully slide the tree through the opening of the ornament, and let it drop to the bottom. Use a chopstick or tweezers to shift the tree into place if need be, and press it securely to the bottom of the ornament.

Step One Ornament Tree2. Next, add a tablespoon or so of glitter. Use a funnel if you need to get it into the ornament to look like a dusting of snow.

3. Add the lid and tie on some ribbon of your choice for hanging.

4. Give the ornament a gentle shake to toss the snow and prepare to hang it.

Your floating tree holiday ornament is now ready to be displayed. As you can see, it creates a cool floating tree look, and looks like a little mini winter wonderland in a dome.
