I rarely do video shopping hauls but I did one this evening for my Dollar General trip. It wasn’t the best planned trip and I made a couple of mistakes in the stores and in the video – the Bic Ibotta rebate is actually $2 not $1! Also, be sure to double check specific varieties and sizes on the Ibotta app. I made two mistakes by buying Playtex Sport tampons that were 2 ct short of the required amount and a Chef Boyardee that wasn’t the mini bites variety. Lesson learned . I did have three of my kids with me and my oldest showed up in the store with friends while I was shopping. That’s the great thing about living in a small town! :)
Here’s the run down of the deals I found in the store:
Bic Simply Soleil – $4.40
$1/1 BIC for Her 05/05/2013 SS Insert (exp 07/31/2013)
Submit for $2 Ibotta Rebate
Final Price: $1.40
Kool Aid Jammers – $2
Use $1/2 Printable Coupon
Submit for $0.50 Ibotta Rebate
Final Price: $1.25/each wyb 2
Kool Aid Sweetened Canisters- $2
Use $1/2 Printable Coupon
Submit for $0.50 Ibotta Rebate
Final Price: $1.25/each wyb 2
Scotch Magic Tape – $2.50
Submit for $0.50 Ibotta Rebate
Final Price: $2
Bonus! Ibotta sent me an emailing giving me my rebates just as I was finishing up this post! Only about 2 hours after I submitted my receipt. WOW! Also, if I had purchased the other Kool-Aid offer that is available I could get an ADDITIONAL $1 rebate! I can still earn this one if I can find it in stores. The Dollar Store in my town did not have it.

Thanks for the information! Just a pointer with Ibotta – you can actually scan the items you’re buying while you’re in the store to make sure they match up with the offer. That way you never buy the wrong thing. Open up your Ibotta app and click on the Comet spray offer, for example. You’ll see at the bottom where it says “take a poll” and “how to”. Look up in the right-hand corner next to the word “Offers” and you’ll see a barcode. Tap on that and you can scan your Comet bottle. It will either say “Offer matched” or “Offer not matched”. You will still have to re-scan the bottle after you scan your receipt but at least you won’t get home with the wrong product. :)
